Cultivating Healthy Community

This week March 19:
open Tuesday 1 to 3 pm
Thursday and Friday 1 to 6 pm
Saturday 11 am to 3 pm
Hi All,
Well the big news this week is that the Center will be open Tuesdays as well as Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. With Cheri baking her great breads again they will now be available three days a week.
We're getting the Garden Shoppe set up and tomorrow I'll be getting 300 lbs. of worm castings and 600 lbs. of peat soil. The combination will make great top soil for dressing your garden or containers. We will also be carrying soil amendments and organic fertilizers from Brandtastic. Tony Brand makes these products from local ingredients in Twin Falls. We have a good selection of seed and if you want to start seedlings we are set up for you to come in and make soil blocks.
Tomorrow, Tuesday night, Paddy McElvoy will be teaching the next class in our vegetable gardening course. It will be all about growing tomatoes successfully in the Valley. Paddy breeds some of his own tomato varieties, saves seed, and is a wealth of tomato information. The class will be at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden from 6 to 8 and costs $30. Everyone is welcome.
All the best,
Dick, Melinda and Cheri
