Hi All,

Wednesday night our gardening group will meet at the Center instead of the Community Garden so that we can use the library to research and discuss season extension methods and devices. It should be a lively and entertaining discussion. So if you are wondering about frost cloth, cold frames, green houses, high hoops, low hoops, etc. plan to attend. The meeting will start at 6 pm.

Then on Thursday night, Leslie Moore will again use her magic to convert our goat's milk into cheese. If you are interested in observing the process come to the Center at 6:30 pm.

We have two chicken coops to sell, and we have about 4 dozen laying hens, all about 1 year old, to sell. So if you have been thinking about keeping a small flock and enjoying your own fresh eggs, there won't be a better time to get started.

As usual we have eggs, honey, preserves, and granola. We also have a wide variety of fresh greens, carrots, string beans, sugar snap peas, radishes, and parsnips. All are raised LOCALLY in a "beyond organic" manner. By the weekend we will have tomatoes and cukes as well, and…..the most incredible strawberries from Picabo. They are the real deal. Be sure to stop by our Open Air Market on Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot in front of the Center, and look for all the goodies coming out of the Center kitchen.

If you have your garden up and producing, it might be time to fertilize. We have great compost tea, fish compost/ fertilizer, worm castings, and our homemade complete fertilizer [COF]. All are completely organic and will really boost your garden's production.

Finally, we have upped our production of raw goat's milk, and the same milker is considering buying 2 or 3 dairy cows. Let us know if you would be interested in a steady supply of locally produced raw cow's milk.

Please note we will be closed on Thursdays for the next few weeks. Too much going on down on the farm.

All the best, Melinda and Dick with Cynthia, Shawn, Beau and an ever growing fabulous group of volunteers
